I build software.
My path into software development wasn’t a sudden career pivot. It has been building for years.
After 21 years at CarMax across merchandising, operations, and digital product management, I earned a Master’s in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. I eventually moved from leading technical product teams to building software myself.
Today, I work independently across Python, Flutter/Dart, TypeScript, and SQL, with Python as my primary language and the foundation of most of my development work.
I’ve built production mobile applications, API-driven systems, data pipelines, automation tools, and configuration-driven software that generates real-world output.
I particularly enjoy problems involving automation, data, APIs, and systems where correctness matters.
Primary: Python
Mobile: Flutter / Dart
Data: SQL / PostgreSQL
Web: TypeScript / JavaScript / PHP
Infrastructure & Tools: Firebase, REST APIs, Git, GitHub
Before focusing full-time on software development, I spent more than two decades at CarMax, eventually moving into digital product management, followed by web development and digital strategy at Lead Science.
That experience gives me a perspective that isn’t purely technical: I understand the business problem behind the software.
